Foot Orthotics can be fabricated to address multiple issues in the feet and legs. The purpose of the device can range from providing biomechanical control to pressure redistribution. There are a range of orthotic devices designed and built for various purposes. Simple foot orthotics may help by providing standard arch support and control abnormal foot movement while at weight-bearing. However advanced customised orthotic dervices can be built to not only provide simple arch support but realign rear foot bisection calcaneal line, facilitate sagital plane motion, shock absorption and control rear foot, midfoot and forefoot movements during the gait cycle. Since our feet are the foundation of the body, addressing many foot problems can potentially alleviate many conditions associated with our legs, knees, hips and the back.
At Mobile Feet Podiatry we have a choice of fully customised foot orthotics which are designed specifically for the patient/client or a choice of prefabricated/ OTC device partially customised to address the patient's needs. We are a Southern Cross Provider with Easy-Claim access. If your health plan with Southern Cross covers Podiatry including UltraCare, there is no patient surcharge and we can invoice Southern Cross directly.
We’re ACC provider podiatrists
We are ACC provider podiatrists. If you have been injured, your treatment may be covered by ACC. If you already have an ACC claim number through an old injury or been given one by your Doctor or any other health professional, you can bring it with you. If you do not have an ACC claim number, we can help you apply for one to help you cover from your injury. Please understand ACC does not cover the entire cost of each visit, therefore ACC co-payment fee of $40 applies to each visit.
